Thanks for stopping by to see what's happening at Ascension.  We invite you to stop back often.  We'll be updating information as it becomes available.

We’re still here!  Although we may not be physically in our offices, we all are checking e-mails and voicemails on a regular basis.

IF YOU NEED ANYTHING, please don’t hesitate to call or email Pastor Lori or Susie Brekke, Member Connections.  We have a list of folks who have volunteered to drop of supplies to any member who has a need.  These folks want to help!

IMPORTANT: There is so much happening at Ascension, we couldn't fit it all on our announcement page.  Please be sure to read our March Tidings newsletter for all the details!!

Our parking lot worship service is scheduled for Sunday, March 7 at 10:00 AM.  Parking lot opens at 9:30 AM and includes Holy Communion.  This is also our First Communion Sunday for those who take part in the virtual First Communion workshop on March 6.  We will also be collecting food for the pantry. Communion available for those who worship online beginning as close to 10:45 AM as is possible after the parking lot service ends.

Our spring new member Sunday will be March 14.  Contact Pastor Lori if interested in becoming part of our ministry at Ascension.

Sunday Adult Bible Study – March 14 at 9:00 AM
We continue to deepen our understanding and skills at personal Bible study.  Knowing how to mine the riches of individual Bible study is so important for keeping spiritually healthy.  We schedule our Sunday Adult Bible Studies on those Sundays in which there is no outdoor worship or drive-up communion.

Awesome Job!  All The Funds needed have come in for the Teenage Maasai Girl in Tanzania with Severe, Life-Threating Scoliosis
Last month we got the word out about Ndito, a 17-year-old girl from the village in which ELCA missionaries Dr. Steve and Bethany Friberg also live and serve.  It’s a village in remote northern Tanzania.  $5,000 was needed for the life-saving surgery.  In fact, enough money was given that we can also help with the costs of Ndito’s brother for traveling to Kenya, where the surgery will be performed, and providing for his lodging costs during her surgery and initial recovery.  Thank you to all who have contributed.

SCRIP Fundraising Dates

The process of serving the lunch has changed due to Covid 19. We have not been preparing and serving lunch at the NEW Shelter, however, we are providing donations of money to the shelter for the meals that we would normally prepare.  We are also providing homemade cookies on the dates we normally would serve.  Anyone willing to make cookies for the shelter meal should contact the church office to arrange cookie drop off or pick up.

HOME SWEET HOME is operating on a limited basis and with some safety changes.  HSH volunteers will be contacted.  Questions?  Call the HSH phone:  920-784-7092
