Thanks for stopping by to see what's happening at Ascension.  We invite you to stop back often.  We'll be updating information as it becomes available.

We’re still here!  Although we are not physically in our offices, we all are checking e-mails and voicemails from home.

IF YOU NEED ANYTHING IN THESE NEXT WEEKS, please don’t hesitate to call or email Pastor Lori or Susie Brekke, Member Connections.  We have a list of folks who have volunteered to drop of supplies to any member who has a need.  These folks want to help!

IMPORTANT: There is so much happening at Ascension this fall, we couldn't fit it all on our announcement page.  Please be sure to read our September Tidings newsletter for all the details!!

The process of serving the lunch has changed due to Covid 19. We need the following help with our scheduled meals.

  • Cookie bakers.  We request home-made cookies, without nuts.
  • 4 volunteers are needed to prepare and make to go boxes.  Arrive at 10:00 a.m. to begin the process.  No contact with the guests is required and anyone over 13 can volunteer.
  • 2 Additional people are needed to serve the meal for those eating in the cafeteria.  Food trays will be on the side of the servers and will be filled on that side and then passed to the guest at the end of the line.  The people in the cafeteria are the residents of the shelter and the staff.

All volunteers must wear a mask, hair restraint such as a scarf, hat or hair net.  Hair nets and masks can be provided if you do not have them and gloves will be provided to all volunteers.
If you would like to help please contact Valerie in the office.
