UPDATE 8-18-2021
Sadly, the worsening situation with COVID-19 and the more highly infectious Delta variant has created a public health call to move toward return to masking for all when indoors, especially in larger groups.  In light of the seriousness of the situation and our guiding ethic of love for neighbor and following the advice our Ascension COVID-19 Health Advisory Group,

  • A face covering/mask must be worn while you are in the building and in the presence of another person. Children over the age of 2 should wear a face mask.
  • Pastors, lectors, and musicians will still not be wearing masks while actively leading worship.

We are committed to providing you worship opportunities as we navigate through the pandemic. If you feel more comfortable or you or someone in your is in a high-risk category, we encourage you to worship from home. Our 10:30 AM service will livestream on our Worship Services page.

With the recent changes in CDC Public Health guidance, the Ascension COVID Health Advisory group has now approved the following protocols for worship.

  • We will still work to maintain safe distance in seating.
  • Masking
    • Required while you are in the building and in the presence of another person.
    • Children over the age of 2 should wear a face mask.

Care by all for taking personal responsibility for wellbeing of others.

  • If you are exercising your freedom to choose not to be vaccinated, we ask you to also exercise your responsibility to protect the health of other worshippers by wearing a face mask.  In this way we fulfill our calling to "bear one another's burdens." (Gal. 6:2)

Seating Options with Some Roped and Some No-Rope Pew Sections:

  • The center pew sections now have no ropes blocking off any of the pews, this in order to give more options for seating.  Safe distancing is still a healthy practice. This gives people options for how to determine that for themselves.
  • The outer sections will continue to have every other row blocked off for those who feel more comfortable with the more defined physical distance that provides.

Kids of the Kingdom (Children’s Sermon)

  • Children now will be allowed to come forward for Kids of the Kingdom, assuming, of course, their parents are comfortable with that.
  • Children distancing between children will be practiced, but we might need parents to come up with their child to help with that.
  • As per our masking policy, children over the age of 2 should wear a mask.

What is your giving story? Everyone has one.  Who taught you about generosity and the importance of giving?
