LENT 2021

Join us as we Look to Jesus together this Lenten season!

Lent is a spiritual journey of prayer, intentional spiritual discipline, and worship focused on suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ as He approached the cross.

The 40-day journey begins on Ash Wednesday when we receive the sign of the cross in ash upon our foreheads and hear those somber words, “You are dust and to dust you shall return.”

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

Ever wonder if God loves you?  Take a look at the cross.  Jesus went there for you and all of us.  God created and has loved you from the start; God loves you so much that God went to the cross to redeem you by atoning for your sin.  You are saved by faith because of the cross.  Let us look to Jesus who out of love endured the cross.

The Book of Hebrews is rich in providing us with deeper understanding of Jesus’ death on the cross as the one and only atoning sacrifice that has brought about the forgiveness of sin.

Midweek Lenten Worship
"Abide In Christ"
February 24 - March 24
LIVE STREAMING - Wednesdays at 6:30 PM
This service will live stream on our worship services page.
A recorded version will be available for you to view when you are able.

“Abide in me as I abide in you.” John 15:4
You are not alone. Because of the cross, we can abide with and in Jesus.  To “abide” means to live with Jesus each day; to be open to Jesus filling our hearts, minds and souls with His grace, peace and joy.  As we daily look to Jesus and read God’s Word, Jesus abides in us.  What a gift!

Lent is a spiritual journey of prayer, intentional spiritual discipline, and worship focused on suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ as he approached the cross.  Our Ascension Lenten services invite you into a unique spiritual experience as we use a meditative worship style to help center your spirit and focus you on Jesus.  In these services a gentle flowing improvised music which underscores and enhances the prayers and brief devotional message.
